About the think tank

The IR Magazine Think Tank – Canada 2017 is an invitation-only event exclusively for senior corporate, in-house IR professionals. It is free to attend and our unique format enables participants to network extensively, discuss, debate and dissect topical issues affecting IR.

IMG_0899 (1)What makes our format so unique?
It is far removed from the traditional conference set-up as the event consists of a series of panel sessions followed by roundtable discussions on select IR issues. These interactive sessions are broken up by short, snappy best practice briefings from top-rated IROs. All discussions are confidential and none of the participants’ comments are attributed. This allows attendees to talk freely and have frank, open discussions.

How do our roundtable discussions work?
Senior people – industry experts, top-rated IROs and those from the financial community and the          professions – set the agenda on a panel discussion by sharing their thoughts on session topics.
Small roundtable groups of IROs discuss these issues face to face.
Each table gives feedback from its own discussion and shares ideas with the group as a whole.

Past attendees say

"Moderator was excellent and I took away at least 10 great ideas."

"Vendor-light, high density of IROs and – in my case – a high number of IROs from my sector (media). A pleasant change."

"Thought the conference was an incredibly valuable investment of time. Within 30 minutes of returning to my office I was able to get my CEO to rethink the purpose of the proxy statement (an IR communication tool vs SEC requirement). We are changing the proxy process immediately to include input from IR upfront"

"As always, great speakers and an excellent opportunity to learn for my peers."

"The Think Tank combines thought-provoking presentation content with the ability to exchange ideas with fellow IROs."
