With an increasing number of investors, governance and corporate communications teams adopting machine-learning and generative AI to support their day-to-day decision-making, it is critical for IR teams to follow suit. However, at this nascent stage, there are a lot of questions about the ethical use of AI, accuracy, privacy concerns and more.
The AI for IR forum was designed to provide IR teams at publicly listed companies with a blueprint for the responsible use of AI to supercharge their IR program.
Featuring AI veterans from the buy side, experts from tech companies, and issuers who have successfully implemented AI, the forum provided actionable checklists and best practice booklets on how to successfully implement an AI-powered IR strategy in 2024. View the agenda and speaker sections below to find out more about what was discussed.

Markets EQ, LLC.
In the high-stakes world of investor relations, the difference between success and failure often comes down to information. IR teams are in a constant battle to derive strategic advantages from market-moving communications. Too frequently, elite quantitative funds seem to have all the edges – wielding sophisticated data models and machine learning capabilities out of reach for most IR directors. Yet the playing field is now being leveled by an AI-driven revolution in financial communications spearheaded by Markets EQ.
Founded by Sean Austin, a pioneer in applying tonal analytics to uncover insights for Wall Street, Markets EQ combines advanced natural language processing, predictive analytics and proprietary voice analysis models to enable conversational intelligence for IR teams.
The groundbreaking platform interacts in natural language, analyzing earnings calls, presentations, shareholder meetings and executive briefings. Within intuitive AI conversations, Markets EQ deciphers the full context and sentiment around leadership communications.
For example, an IR director might simply ask:
“Was the CEO as confident responding to analyst questions this earnings call compared to last quarter?”
Markets EQ would then analyze vocal tones, language patterns and more to provide nuanced detection of any changes in confidence or evasiveness when addressing hard-hitting questions.
No longer are IR teams limited to surface-level information or reactive post-event data – instead they gain real-time, conversational insights to understand the true market narrative and unlock informational alpha.
