Joshua Lee, senior portfolio manager, Bank of Singapore
Joshua Lee is the senior portfolio manager at Bank of Singapore with oversight on multi-asset portfolios.

Prior to joining Bank of Singapore, he was an equity research analyst and strategist for Deutsche Bank, as well as a portfolio manager with several hedge funds.

Joshua holds a bachelor of Accounting degree with a major in Law from Singapore Management University. He is also a CFA charter holder, Chartered Accountant of Singapore, and ASEAN CPA.

 

Professor Roy Ling, CEO & founder, FollowTrade
Prof. Roy Ling is currently the CEO & Founder of FollowTrade. Concurrently, he is also an Adjunct Professor in Finance at the SKEMA Business School, an Academic Program Director at SMU Academy and an Independent Board Director on several listed companies in Asia.

Prof. Ling spent more than 20 years in investment banking and held senior positions with JPMorgan, Lehman Brothers, Goldman Sachs and Salomon Smith Barney. His expertise is in Asia real estate, REIT IPOs and capital markets, and he has worked in New York, Hong Kong, Tokyo and Singapore. During his investment banking career, Prof. Ling has originated and executed a broad range of advisory and capital market transactions including some of the most high profile transactions in the region. Prof. Ling was a former Board Director of the CFA Society of Japan. He was honored as the Real Estate Executive of the Year 2016 by Singapore Business Review, and as one of 20 Rising Stars in Real Estate 2008 by Institutional Investor.

Prof. Ling graduated from INSEAD with a Global EMBA and from the National University of Singapore with a BBA (Hons).

 

Vijay Natarajan, analyst – real estate & REITs
Vijay Natarajan has over 10 years of investment analyst experience covering Singapore and regional stocks.  He has worked both on the buy-side and sell-side equity research and covered diverse sectors which includes Real estate, REITs, Aviation and Offshore and Marine. He holds an MBA Degree from S.P.Jain School of Global Management and a Bachelor’s Degree in Electronics and Communication from Anna University.

 

Jeannie Ong, group chief investor relations officer, MyRepublic
Ms Jeannie Ong is the Group Chief Investor Relations Officer of MyRepublic, one of the fastest growing telcos in the Asia Pacific region. Prior to that, she had an illustrious career with the StarHub Group, where she took on senior management appointments as their Chief Strategic Partnership Officer and Chief Marketing Officer, advising the Group on branding and marketing, Investor Relations (IR), sustainability and all communication matters relating to operations and strategy.

Jeannie is the Founding Board Member and IR Advisor of AetriaHeath, a healthcare start-up in Thailand. She serves as a Board of Director at the National Arthritis Foundation in Singapore, where she is the Chairman of their Marketing and Publicity Committee. Jeannie has been a founding member of IRPAS (Investor Relations Professional Association of Singapore) since its inception in October 2006 and has been a director of its Board since 2012, championing for the IROs in Singapore.

Jeannie has more than 25 years of experience working as a senior corporate executive for various listed companies, across different industries. In her corporate roles, Jeannie has helmed successful initial public offerings and established billion-dollar MTN programmes. She was also instrumental in setting up communications, IR and sustainability frameworks of the listed companies. Jeannie was named Best IR Officer in Singapore by IR Magazine Awards – South East Asia for three consecutive years, from 2012 to 2014. She is also the only Singaporean IRO who was named in the 2015 Global Top 50 IROs. Jeannie holds a BSc Economics (Hons) from the University of London, with majors in Economics and Marketing as well as an Advanced Diploma in Healthcare Management and Digital Health from the Singapore Management University.

 

Harold Woo, president, Investor Relations Professionals Association (Singapore) (IRPAS)
Harold Woo is ex-Senior Advisor for Investor & Partner Relations in CapitaLand Limited. He joined CapitaLand in 2003 and relinquished his position as Senior Vice President, Investor Relations in June 2015.

Post retirement from CapitaLand in May 2017, he assumed a senior advisory role at WeR1 Consultants Pte Ltd, a boutique investor relations, corporate strategy and media communications company, from September 2017 till October 2018. During the 13 months tenure, he was responsible for account management of a few mid-cap companies. Besides performing the mainstream investor relations activities as an agency, he was actively involved in assignments relating to strategic transformation, crisis management, pre-IPO preparation, M&A and corporate restructuring.

He took on a senior advisor contract with Sasseur Asset Management Pte Ltd from February 2019 till January 2020. In addition to mentoring the in-house IRO, he helped to widen coverage of the stock by sell-side analysts, raised media coverage of the company and enlarged its pool of investors. Sasseur REIT was one of the top performing S-Reits in 2019, with a total return of 53%.

He has almost 20 years of stockbroking experience in institutional sales, securities trading and investment research. From 1990 to 1999, he was with Vickers Ballas & Co Pte Ltd, progressing from Director of Institutional Sales to Global Head of Institutional Sales. He opened an equity sales office for Vickers Ballas in the City of London in 1995 and was its CEO until 1998. Prior to 1990, he was Associate Director at James Capel Far East Limited, an international stockbroker. From 1981 to 1985, he was research manager at Ong & Co Pte Ltd.

Harold garnered the Best IRO award in IR Magazine – South East Asia Awards in 2006, 2007, 2009 and 2011. In 2012, he was named as one of 25 Best IROs of last 25 years by IR Magazine. In December 2015, he was bestowed a Lifetime Achievement Award by IR Magazine. He is on the judging panels for IR Magazine Awards 2017, 2018, 2019 and 2020 – South East Asia and Greater China self-nomination categories.

He served as the Honorary Secretary of the Securities Investors Association (Singapore) (“SIAS”) from 2015 – 2017 and remains as a consultant.  Harold is on the faculty for the Listed Entity Director Programme conducted by the Singapore Institute of Directors (“SID”).

 

Garnet Roach, senior reporter, IR Magazine
Garnet Roach joined IR Magazine in October 2012, working on both the editorial and research sides of the publication. Prior to entering the world of investor relations, her freelance career covered a broad range of subjects, from technology to politics and consumer finance, and even involved a stint as a reporter and editor in Sana’a, Yemen.

Since graduating from City University in London in 2003, where she studied journalism, Roach has worked as a freelance reporter at titles including GlobalPost.com, PC Advisor and The Big Issue.
