Global event: Live virtually and available for replay on-demand

About the event

IR Magazine’s Women in IR campaign sparked a lively debate around the globe in 2019 about how women can achieve gender equality and pay parity in the IR profession. In 2020, we’re bringing an even bigger line-up of speakers via our virtual conference platform, to help women in the IR community successfully navigate their careers and the current climate.

Our research showed that while the IR profession has a 50/50 gender split, 67 percent of senior positions are held by men and just 33 percent by women.

With the help of expert speakers and those leading the charge at public companies, we’ll be presenting personal experiences, promoting open debate, and providing perspectives to throw diversity within the IR profession into the spotlight.

We’ll be announcing the full agenda and speaker line-up shortly. Stay tuned!

In light of the situation surrounding Covid-19 and putting the safety of our attendees first, the Women in IR – Global event will take place as a virtual experience.

Using the latest cutting edge technology available, our virtual event platform closely replicates being there in person with the chance interact with speakers and have one-to-one networking in-between panel talks.

Going virtual connects our attendees to even more attendees globally, from the comfort of their desk.

Holders of the NIRI IRC® credential can earn up to 4 professional development units (PDUs) per day. IRC-credentialed speakers may also earn PDUs. More information is available at

Mentoring sessions

As part of the forum, attendees have the option to participate in our newly launched speed mentoring sessions. Following its overwhelming success in 2019, we’ll dedicate more time to allow for in-depth dialogue.

We will offer three 30-minute sessions to attendees with some of the community’s most senior and experienced figures to help mentor and advise the talent of tomorrow.

Participants will receive notes, tips, and take-aways on how to deal with specific challenges, improve your way of working, and structure your career.

If you’d like to attend, please select the mentoring option when you register for your place below.
